Delete your account
Tapkeep is run by TAPKEEP LLC, 5225 Trents Pl, Baton Rouge, LA 70817, USA. You can delete your Tapkeep account, and everything in it, in any of three ways.
In the app
Open the Tapkeep app, go to More, then Delete my account. Type your email and your password, then choose Delete my account.
On the website
Sign in on the Tapkeep website and use Delete my account in your account. Type your email and your password, then choose Delete my account.
By email
Write to privacy@tapkeep.me from the email address on your account, and ask us to delete it. We answer within 30 days.
Before you delete
If something still depends on your account, such as a plan that renews or a company you own, we tell you what to settle first:
A subscription or add-on that still renews. Cancel it first, so nothing bills after your account is gone.
A company you own. Hand it over to someone else first.
A card that is used for a company. Stop using it there first.
A company plan you are the billing contact for. Ask the company to change it first.
A company that signs you in to Tapkeep. Ask its administrator to remove you first.
Connected accounts, such as Google or Microsoft. Disconnect them first, so their access is revoked.
A card that was turned off for a policy reason, which cannot be deleted from the app or the website. Write to privacy@tapkeep.me about it.
Records under a company's legal hold, which cannot be deleted yet.
What is deleted
Deleting your account deletes your cards, their contacts and reviews, your pictures, links, codes and votes.
What is kept, and for how long
We keep records of purchases for our accounts, without your email address; reports you filed, without your email; and the security log until its entries reach 90 days.
Deleted information can stay in our backups for up to 30 days.
Stripe keeps its own records of your payments.
Deleting part of it instead
You do not have to delete your account to delete what you made. Edit or delete a card, take it offline, and delete any contact, all from the app or the website.
