Acceptable Use Policy
A Tapkeep card is a business card: your name, how to reach you, where to find you. Most people never need to read this page. It exists so the few who would misuse a trusted link know where the line is, and so everyone else knows we hold it.
You may not use Tapkeep to
- Deceive people. No phishing, no fake login pages, no "verify your account" schemes, no investment, prize, romance or recovery scams, no links that pretend to be one thing and lead to another.
- Pretend to be someone else. No impersonating a person, a company, a bank, a government agency or a brand you do not represent, in names, addresses, links, logos or photos.
- Fake what people think of you. No made-up testimonials or reviews, no reviews of yourself, no paying for reviews or votes, and no extra accounts to change a Search score.
- Spread malware or spam. No links to software that harms devices, no short links in unsolicited bulk messages, no use of our links to get past spam filters, and no bulk messages to the people you collect without the consent the law requires.
- Publish illegal content. No sexual content involving minors, under any circumstances; we report it to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and to law enforcement. No content that is otherwise illegal where we operate or where you are.
- Use other people's work without permission. No photos, logos, text or trademarks you do not have the right to use.
- Harass or threaten. No content that harasses, threatens or incites violence against anyone, and no sharing other people's private information.
- Sell what cannot be sold here. No weapons, drugs, counterfeit goods, stolen data or other goods and services that are illegal to offer.
- Abuse Tapkeep itself. No scraping, no automated account creation, no attempts to get around limits, checks or switch-offs, and no interfering with other people's cards or accounts.
What we do about it
We may check links against Google Web Risk's list of harmful sites when they are added and again every night, and a link on that list can be switched off automatically. Anyone can report a card on our Report a card page or in the Tapkeep app, and a person reads every report, usually within a day. When something breaks this policy, we switch off the card, link, chip or account, and a paid plan on it is not refunded. We keep a record of what we did, and serious matters go to the authorities. If we switched off something of yours by mistake, write to abuse@tapkeep.me and we will look again.
Reporting
To report a card, use the Report a card page at tapkeep.me/report, use "Report this card" on a card you opened from Search in the Tapkeep app, or write to abuse@tapkeep.me with the card's link and what you saw. For copyright complaints, see section 13 of the Terms of Service.
